This bird gobbled at my first call at 6:20 a.m. He flew down off the roost across the Shenandoah River and landed 70 yds. from my decoy. When he came into 40-50 yards I took him with my 50 cal. black powder rifle.

The elapsed time of the hunt from when I started calling to the time of the kill was approximately 1 min.!!!
