The first edition of "Turkey Call"
magazine was produced by the NWTF (National
Wild Turkey Federation) in the summer of 1973.
It may not have been very long (only 16 pages)
but it represented another step in the wild
turkey conservation effort and the growth
of the NWTF organization.
Cover is a photo taken in Virginia of a wild
turkey (This is one thing I find interesting
because it looks like a domestic bird to me,
not an Eastern wild turkey.)
